Creo Restaurant: Creative Corporate Session

Can corporate sessions be creative?  Of course they can!

I was thrilled when asked to shoot Creo Restaurant in Albany, NY.  If you’re not familiar with it – be sure to check out their web page HERE and Like them on Facebook Here.

As soon as you walk in, you can’t help but notice the decor.  Modern and inviting – making you want to either pull up a seat at the bar or walk through to the dining area.

As you look at their menu – you’ll notice American cuisine items with Asian and Mediterranean influences.   The “Farm to Table” concept is not new to them, as they have operated that way since 2008.  In fact, they even have an on-premise garden to grow  herbs/spices as well as purchase their own livestock!  I first went down to meet partner Brian White, and to get a tour of the space.  Of course seeing the beautiful restaurant was fun, and it certainly helped me start to conceptualize ideas for the session.  I met a handful of their staff, and management who were all very friendly.   No surprise that they were beyond helpful the day of the shoot.

Over the course of a few hours I captured the decor, incredibly prepared dishes, and customers enjoying their Creo experience.  Brian gave me some ideas of what he’d like to see in the images and let me run with it.  That piece is key to getting creative corporate shots.  Any photographer, or artist for that matter, would tell you that suggestions work best.  It enables the creative process, and gives inspiration without inhibiting unique ideas.  I’m thrilled to know that they were happy with the images, and love seeing them using them already.  It really was a pleasure to work with Brian White, and the staff at Creo.  I will be making a trip there soon to enjoy their service, and some of these incredible dishes!  Be sure to put them on your list of places to try.  Is your mouth watering yet?

Incredible Tag Team – Albany, NY Photographer

If you follow me on Facebook  know all about the amazing team that we’ve developed for local models, or want to start modeling folks out there!

Anthony from www.518fever.com  contacted me not too long ago and the conversations began of offering local models the chance to build a portfolio on the 518fever Model Directory.  It wasn’t long after that the wonderful Tracy form Paul Mitchell – the school Schenectady made the location piece happen!  If you’ve never been in the school – I STRONGLY recommend at least checking it out – it’s BEAUTIFUL!    And nice to have something as well known and respected as Paul Mitchell – right in Schenectady, NY!

So how does this all work????    Basically the stylists at Paul Mitchell do the hair and makeup – generally 2 looks – one more natural and one edgy.  Then I use the building – which has more cool little spots to shoot in than you would believe – to photograph each girl/guy in their two looks.  After the images are all processed  – I turn them over to Anthony and he loads them into the Model Directory on 518fever!  Local companies and businesses looking for models can easily preview the profiles and contact models for work they may need done.   Another HUGE bonus – is Paul Mitchell Corporate also see’s these images…..um – yeah that’s pretty cool!!!  You don’t need to have any modeling experience to do this!  Some of the girls we’ve worked with do, and others – like the one pictured here have not!

The staff at Paul Mitchell has been incredible to work with – and I can’t say enough great things about Anthony DiMoro.  We’re moving on to our 3rd event there – and with all of the incredible feedback – this is only the beginning!

Yoga Zen – Albany NY Photographer

More and more clients are contacting me to book professional headshots, and images.  Many of these are people who own their own businesses, or are developing a new website.  The days of the solid blue background are phasing out.  People are looking for their headshots to standout – to make a statement.  That’s where working with a custom portrait photographer comes in!  There are many of us in the Albany, NY area.  I, like many others, work primarily onlocation.  This particular client had me come to her home, and we used her yard.  Some people prefer a park setting, or the location of their work.  Depending on what you’re needs are, we work out the best location for your session.  She’s obviously a Yoga instructor, and wanted some images to represent what she does.  This client has also used me before for her family photographs – so it was especially nice to reconnect, and see how big her kids have gotten.  Thanks again M 😉 for thinking of me….

What do your Professional Headshots/Images say about you?   First impressions mean quite a bit – make a statement and intrigue potential clients with custom photos 🙂
