My last wedding of the 2014 year.
There’s always something special about the one that is the last. Having the bride and a handful of the guests, as well as the DJ’s, be childhood friends, it’s another level! Christina and I have kept in touch over the years since graduating HS together. She’s a talented graphic designer who has actually designed my logos and brochures! I’d also met Adam on a few occasions. A sweet guy, who always has a smile. As was stated at their wedding, the time had come for them to “finally” get married. I saw the engagement photo of her ring on facebook, and was thrilled when the request to be their wedding photographer came!
I met up with Christina and her bridesmaids at her parents home. A house I had slept over, and spent countless hours at in years past. As I walked up the driveway, a flood of memories washed over me and a smile crept across my face. There’s a warmth that you feel when you walk down memory lane. One that needs no explaining – an understood comfort that all who were part of that history just get.
As expected Christina and the ladies looked stunning. A few detail photos and it was time for her to get dressed.
I left for the church to find Adam and the guys. Ready and dressed, looking handsome as their flowers were pinned.
After her little niece, the flower girl, took a selfie with mom it was go time.
You can almost feel the anticipation build at this point in a wedding. You can definitely also see it dissipate when the bride and groom lock eyes for the first time.
After the touching ceremony, we stayed right at the church to take some pictures of the happy newly weds.
The reception venue was just a few minutes away. Time for the bride and groom to spend some time celebrating with their bridal party before they arrived to join their guests at the cocktail hour.
The color theme was metallic. Classy elements throughout the room. I loved watching Christina and Adam come in to see it all set before their guests joined them for dinner. The vision of “their day” right in front of them.
Of course we took a few minutes to grab another handful of pictures.
The room quickly filled, the announcements were made, and the couple of the hour made their grand entrance to the roar and applause from their family and friends!
A first dance, and wonderful toasts followed.
No surprise that the dance floor was packed all evening. Even a Michael Jackson dance tribute!
Another heartfelt congratulations to you Adam and Christina. I wish you a lifetime of happiness and love!
It truly was my honor to be with you on this day…
