A wedding in the country – that’s the theme when couples select the Chapel in Galway, NY for their wedding day. The Chapel, located very close to Saratoga Springs, was first build in 1859 – and has been restored, retaining so much of the original structure. I had been there before, and was thrilled to hear Aimee tell me that was where the ceremony would take place.
Aimee and Angelo decided on doing a first glance before the ceremony. If you’ve read my posts before – you know that I LOVE FIRST GLANCES! I understand the idea of the first time he see’s you being coming down the aisle. However – you still get that first time. The difference is that first moment is just for the two of you! Aimee nervously walked up behind Angelo. Smiles, and nervous energy quickly transformed into awe and warm embraces. Obviously I shot away as she approached, and as they embraced. Then I took the rings as well as her flowers – giving them a few minutes of time to just be together.
One brides maid, and one best man stood up with them – fitting perfectly with the simple theme they had planned for the day.
Rev. Wendy Lyon performed a beautiful ceremony. Holding hands, Aimee and Angelo exchanged rings, and said their vows. Shortly after they were announced as husband and wife.
The grounds around the Chapel offer plenty of variety for formal family and bridal party pictures. And of course I had to steal a few shots with the dog in as well! Congratulations again Aimee and Angelo!
